People with sleep apnea often have loud snoring. Not everyone who snores has sleep apnea and some with sleep apnea don’t know they snore.
Sleep apnea’s most common signs are loud snoring, choking or gasping for air while sleeping. When you have sleep apnea your breathing stops or gets very shallow, followed by snorting or choking sounds as your breathing starts up again. These breathing pauses last 10 to 20 seconds or more, and may occur 20 to 30 times or more an hour.
Wearing a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) mask is the most common treatment for sleep apnea. The mask blows air into your throat at a pressure level that is right for you. The increased airway pressure keeps your throat open while you sleep.
Stop the sleep apnea induced snoring with CPAP masked sleeping.
